Take a celestial journey right in the heart of Waimea town! A free annual event that takes you on a scale model of the Solar System. Learn about the distance between each planet, their orbits, moons, and much more! The walk starts at W.M. Keck Observatory headquarters in Waimea, and takes you through town, stopping at several stations along the way. The walk ends at the Canada-France-Hawai’i offices, but the adventure doesn’t end there, more activities and fun demonstrations await. This year, we are celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Canada-France-Hawai’i Telescope. Festivities include food, live music, bounce house, charity dunk tank, costume contest with prizes and more! It’s sure to be out of this world.
Can’t wait until the next event?
